After a few hours i found myself growing bored and started reading journey to the centre of the earth, my girlfriend however kept watching, and for about an hour it stayed like this, all off a sudden my girlfriend began screaming an began pleading with me to turn of the tv, distracted by her i didnt look at the tv straight away and was trying to calm her down, only when she pointed at the screen did i see what she saw, a humanish face staring straight at us its features were remarkably pronounced against the static and i could here a low whispering coming from the tv, as i moved across the room to the plug, i watched it follow my movements intensely, it looked very angry and not quite human, but it was the wide cruel smile that struck me most, it sent shivers through the core of my body and i felt like i was being disected visualy by this things hollow eyes, frozen for a moment i felt mesmerised, it was only when my girlfriend started to scream again did it take is gaze of me and i pulled the plug and cut the power.
I have a strong passion for the supernatural and proving its existence, but ill be quite happy if i dont have to see that face again as long as i live!]]>

<![CDATA[The country side wraith]]> http://www.paranormaladelaide.com/index.php?tid=371&tpg=1#p3154 When i was around 9 years old i was staying out in the cotswolds in Britain with my best mate at his family farm, we were playing pretend army games out in his back paddock, it was a small valley really, with a small stream that ran along the base out into other fields, and this stream is where the trouble started.
A flock of sheep were crossing the stream and my friend Harry and i along with his younger brother Alex spotted a Ewe that had fallen down and was slowly drowning in the stream, Harry fearing the owner of the sheep, a particulary nasty man who lived across the valley would blame Harrys dog and attempt to put him down, so we mustered what strength we could and began are attempt at rescuing the fallen ewe, now keep in mind that 3 young boys trying to lift an extremely heavy sheep out of a stream was damn near impossible, but we perserved, much of the day had gone and as it approached dusk we finally managed to slide the ewe onto a wooden pallette that we had attached some pull ropes to and hauled her very slowly out of the stream and onto the grass bed, however not more than a few minutes after getting her back onto dry land the ewe passed away right in front of us, we were completely gutted and didnt know what to make of our first experience with death, we decided to go back to his farm and tell his mum and thats when we all saw it, standing on the valley slope behind us was a tall figure dressed in black almost like the highway men of old, it had a long flowing cloak and a huge overhanging hood, but its most noticible feature was its transpanrency and the fact that there was no apparent face,we stared, scared stiff for what seemed like hours , and it seemed to stare back with an intense curiosity, when we finally broke are gaze and looked at each other for a split second, it was gone as we looked back, Harry and i ran up the hill thinking that maybe it was the farmer that owned the sheep and that we had imagined the ghostly visage, but as we reached the summit we saw that it was a plain level field on the other side with no where to hide and we would have been able to the figure walking away in the distance, instead there was no one.

Terrified we ran back to his house, little alex a few years younger than us ran straight to his mum balling his eyes out but wouldnt say a word for the entire night, but that is where things got very scary.
Not able to sleep Harry and I along with his dog stayed up downstairs watching movies trying to distract our minds from the prior events, it was working until we saw a hooded figure with no face staring through his window straight at us, frozen with fear we couldnt move, but this wraith if you will moved on almost instantanelously to another window at the opposite end of the room and continued this pattern like it was circling the house, only when Harry's mum and dad came downstairs and saw it too, did we realize that this was very very real. his parents stayed up with us until dawn broke and the wraith seemed to have grown bored and dissapered.
No one spoke of this for a long time and it was a very long time before i went back to his house, i had seen a few ghosts before, growing up, but nothing this intense and certainly nothing prior to it had an aura of hate an malice that strong, one thing is for sure though we never went in that back paddock again!]]>

<![CDATA[Gday]]> http://www.paranormaladelaide.com/index.php?tid=370&tpg=1#p3153
I was born in England and spent a lot of time growing up with poltergeists and phantoms, there were many areas i spent time in that were high in paranormal activity, i have witnessed first hand the destruction an angry poltergeist can cause in a kitchen! and was even lucky enough to have a, well i say lucky but it was down right terrifing at the age of nine! to have come into close quaters with a wraith out in the british countryside, that was an experience i can tell you.

I have kept myself very open to paranormal activity, recording it where i can, and im currently in the middle of catching the two ghost that seem to have taken up residence in my home, one appears to be the echo of one of my pets that passed away a few years ago, she seems to have stayed, pulling my hair here and there and whistling and chatting away to herself every now and again in the dead of night, the other appears to be close to that of a full torso apperition but i get the distinct feeling it isnt here to be friends, i have captured a few photos of my ghosty pet in the form of some very strange orbs around the house, but im still trying to catch the larger one, will keep you guys posted on what develops, if you want to see my current photos for yourself ive sent a few to Alison and will try to upload them here soon.

until then, take it easy guys

Well I haven't, and hadn't even heard of her until I just looked her up after you mentioned her :P

For those even less educated then myself she is the singing nun of Adelaide and hit the charts in the 70s with her rock version of The Lords Prayer. My excuse is it was before my time here in Australia.

Why Keith, do you know her?

No, I don't know her personally, but she is someone I'd like to get to
meet if I ever get there... of course after visiting the Gaol... and the
Gully... and Kapunda... (sighs)

Thank you for replying and for the link Alison:):) Hope you enjoyed a wonderful birthday!!

I think this place was the first time ever that when Adrian and me were alone in one of the buildings and he said "shall we do some EVP?" I suddenly felt very reluctant to do so. It was like you suddenly didn't want to attract attention lol. But hey, that is what we were there for so we did. Didn't get anything that night though. Just means I will have to go back and try again :P

My wife has had similar experiences with feathers. She has actually kept some of them and placed them in her purse, so they are with her all the time.
